In June 2016, Malcolm and Margaret Howat were each awarded the honorary degree of Doctor of the University (DUniv) by the University of Glasgow, in recognition of their outstanding contribution to medical research and philanthropy. As founders of the Howat Foundation they have provided exceptional support to some of the University’s most significant cancer research initiatives, including work at the Paul O’Gorman Leukaemia Research Centre and the Beatson Institute. Their generosity and commitment to improving lives through science and community investment continue to make a lasting impact on the University and beyond.
